Book a private sauna session in our mobile, wood-fired cedar sauna, perfectly situated on Chicago’s most beloved beach. Imagine unwinding in the cozy warmth of a 190°F sauna with the option to cool off in the fresh, icy lake during winter or an exhilarating ice bath in the summer. Our sessions are designed to suit everyone, whether you’re a solo visitor, a couple, or a small group of up to six, with up to three people able to enjoy the sauna at once.

Choose from flexible time slots ranging from 25 minutes to an hour to fit your schedule. Each session provides a tailored experience, allowing you to adjust the temperature for the ideal sweat. Whether you’re looking to boost your wellness routine or simply share a fun winter activity, this is a memorable option for couples, friend groups, sports teams, and health-focused communities alike.

 

What to Expect and How to Prepare
Plan to arrive 5–10 minutes early for a brief orientation, time to fill out your waiver, and to get settled. We recommend bringing:

  • Swimsuit – to fully relax and enjoy the experience.
  • Towels – one to sit on and another for drying off afterward.
  • Sandals and Water – to stay hydrated and comfortable.

  • How hot does the sauna get?
    Our sauna reaches temperatures from 160°F up to 200°F, providing an intense, customizable heat.

  • Where can I park?
    You can park directly at the North Ave Beach parking lot. Free parking may also be available closer to Lincoln Park Zoo.

  • Where exactly are you located?
    We’re located right next to Castaways on the sandy island area of the beach.

  • Do you offer a changing room?
    Yes! You’re welcome to change inside the sauna, or you can use our convenient pop-up changing room.

  • Where can I keep my belongings?
    We provide an insulated carry bag for items like your phone and wallet. Feel free to bring the bag into the sauna, and if you keep it on the floor, it should stay at a comfortable temperature (under 100°F).
